Registered office: Office 11, 56 Sample-gil, Jeonju 00000, South Korea

Our Beginning

Portalsycamoreway Mining Review started when founder Jun-seok Han returned to Jeonju after two years maintaining ventilation systems at a regional data hall. Neighbors asked him to look at overheating shelf miners that manufacturer apps marked as healthy. He built a small bench with logging probes, wrote plain reports, and word spread among apartment miners in Jeollabuk-do who wanted numbers they could trust before summer.

By 2021 the practice moved into its current Sample-gil office, added hash verification sessions, and began publishing field notes online. We remain a review and assessment practice—not a hardware retailer or pool operator.

What We Do Today

Three technicians and Jun-seok conduct thermal audits, bench verifications, and enclosure reviews for compact units rated from 0.05 TH/s upward. Every report cites measured board temperatures, fan behavior, and room coupling. We decline sponsorships from manufacturers so comparisons stay neutral.

Working Approach

We arrive with calibrated probes, shoot intake and exhaust paths before opening cases when possible, and run load tests long enough to expose throttling. Clients receive annotated photos and spreadsheets, not star ratings alone. When a unit is unsuitable for a bedroom wall, we say so directly.

Values

Accuracy over hype. Readable reports over jargon. Local availability for Jeonju operators who cannot ship units overseas for testing. Respect for residential noise and lease constraints common in Korean multi-unit housing.

Community

We host occasional open-bench afternoons where operators compare notes on filter mesh and seasonal thermostat settings. Attendance is limited; dates are announced through our field notes journal.
